Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan today conveyed their New Year greetings to the people of the state.
In a message, the CM said that he had prayed God to bless the people as they entered the New Year with new hopes and desires, with happiness and prosperity.
He also expressed his hope that all the attempts of the state government to develop the state would come to fruition in the New Year.
Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan also extended her greetings to the people.
"I extend my greetings and best wishes to all the people of Telangana, and hope that they have a very happy, healthy and prosperous New Year. I wish that their year be filled with happiness, health, prosperity and fulfilment. I also hope that the New Year brings the end of the Covid-19 pandemic through successful vaccination and strict adherence to preventive measures," she said in a Raj Bhavan communiqué.
She also urged the people to resolve to fight against all societal evils to build an equitable, inclusive, peaceful and healthy society in 2021.
The annual Raj Bhavan Open House, hosted to celebrate the New Year, was
cancelled this year due to concerns about public health in the midst of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. Those wishing to greet the Governor on the occasion can still, however, call 040-23310521 between 10 am and 11 am on January 1 (Friday).
