Telangana Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar today visited the government hospital in Kondapur and inspected the facility's infrastructure works.
Currently, the hospital is being developed by the Hyderabad-based Raheja Group as part of its corporate social responsibility initiative.
During his inspection, the CS asked the officials concerned to expedite the works in order to make it fully operational at the earliest by providing all the human resources and other logistical materials needed for the project.
Secretary (Health and Family Welfare) Syed Ali Murtuza Rizvi, TSIIC Managing Director Narasimha Reddy, and DME Ramesh Reddy were among the officials present for the visit.
In a similar CSR project, the Hyderabad Software Enterprises Association (HYSEA), along with its member companies, which includes major TNCs like Microsoft, Qualcomm, Franklin Templeton, Cognizant and WellsFargo, recently sponsored the setting up of a 150-bed ICU at the Telangana Institute of Medical Sciences (TIMS), in Gachibowli.
Further, in collaboration with its NGO partner Nirmaan, it identified key government hospitals needing staff, critical lifesaving equipment and medicines so the same could be supplied to the facilities. In addition to this, home isolation kits, livelihood restarter kits, ration packages and hygiene kits were distributed to economically disadvantaged people in Hyderabad.
