India's youngest State celebrated its 10th Formation Day today.
All the VIPs of the State hoisted the flag to mark the occasion.
Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan hoisted the national flag at the Raj Bhavan and took part in the Formation Day celebrations.
Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao did the same at the newly constructed Secretariat, and launched the 21-day-long Formation Day celebrations.
Assembly Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy hoisted the national flag on the Assembly premises, and Legislative Council Chairman Gutha Sukender Reddy unfurled one at the Council.
Likewise, Telangana High Court Chief Justice Ujjal Bhuyan hoisted the national flag on the premises of the court and took part in the celebrations.
The various ministers and district Collectors led the celebrations in their respective districts. They unfurled the national flag and reviewed poluce parades, and took part in the celebrations.
Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari, Director General of Police (DGP) Anjani Kumar and other senior officials offered tributes to the Telangana martyrs and joined the Formation Day celebrations.
