All arrangements are reportedly in place for the grand official celebrations of Telangana Formation Day on Sunday, to be conducted from morning to night.
As part of the celebrations, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will pay floral tributes to the Telangana statehood martyrs at Gun Park at around 9:30 am. Later, he will unfurl the national flag at Parade Grounds at 10 am, receive the guard of honour of the police forces, and release the State song.
The official anthem of Telangana will be unveiled after that. Awards will then be given to selected police personnel and the best contingents. The program will end after a photo session with the award recipients.
In the evening, the decennial celebrations will begin at Tank Bund which has been decked up for the occasion. Handicrafts, special products and different types of food stalls related to Telangana have been set up on the lakefront, and the Chief Minister will reach Tank Bund at 6:30 pm and visit the stalls. He will also witness a carnival of Telangana art forms which will have around 700 artists participating in it. That will be followed by various cultural dance performances for 70 minutes on a stage set up on the bund.
After the stage show, a flag walk program will be conducted on the bund with national flags. The full version of the Jaya Jayahe Telangana song (13:30 minutes) will be released to mark on the occasion. Telangana poet Ande Sri and music director M M Keeravani will be honoured on the same stage.
The celebrations will end at 8:50 pm with fireworks over the Hussain Sagar for 10 minutes.
The State government has invited Governor Radhakrishnan to participate in the inaugural ceremony. Revanth Reddy along with Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka went to Raj Bhavan on Saturday and invited him personally.
