Centre's Telangana Formation Day Celebrations Held At Golconda Fort
Union minister G Kishan Reddy helmed the celebrations, and said that the Centre was committed to the development of Telangana.

Union Minister for Tourism & Culture G Kishan Reddy said that the Centre was committed to the development of Telangana, and was ready to extend all possible help to the State.
Reddy was addressing the gathering at the Telangana Formation Day celebrations organized by the union Ministry of Culture at the historic Golconda Fort.
He hoisted the national flag and reviewed the guard-of-honor by contingents of the CRPF and CISF on the occasion.
The minister said that a separate Telangana State had become a reality because of the struggle and sacrifices of the Telangana people, and paid rich tributes to the martyrs and felicitated their family members.
Elaborating the measures taken by the union government during the past nine years, Reddy said that an amount of Rs 1,20,000 crore had been spent for the construction of national highways in the State, two Vande Bharat Express trains had been introduced, the Secunderabad Railway Station was being modernised at a cost of Rs 720 crore and 30 more railway stations in the State had been selected for modernization, the union government has approved the construction of two new superfast railway lines connecting Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, and that PM Narendra Modi had dedicated the Ramagundam Fertilizers and Chemicals Limited (RFCL) to the nation last year.
The minister also said that in the spirit of "Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat", the Telangana Formation Day was being celebrated at Raj Bhavans in all the States in the country.
Later, the minister inaugurated a two-day photo exhibition put up by the Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, on "nine years of achievements of the Government of India" on the sidelines of the Formation Day celebrations, and released a related book.
The Ministry of Culture, as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, is celebrating Telangana Formation Day at Golconda Fort. The event is part of the special campaign called Qila Aur Kahaniya which aims to highlight forts and their illustrious histories throughout India, promoting the theme of cultural pride. Under the Qila Aur Kahaniya campaign several events have already taken place at forts including Chittorgarh and Kangra, while others are planned for sites including the Bithoor fort, Mandu fort, Jhansi fort and Kangla fort among others.
