A cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today approved the vote-on-account budget proposals for the 2019-20 financial year.
The cabinet met at Pragathi Bhavan with all 11 ministers present.
It also approved the financial demands, the related grants and the GST amendment bill for 2018-19.
KCR is to present the budget in the Assembly at 11:30 am tomorrow, and Mahmood Ali as a senior minister will present it in the Council. The state does not have a dedicated finance minister, and KCR is handling the portfolio currently.
The budget this time could be beyond Rs 2 lakh crores as the state is getting more revenues and non-tax income. The officials have reportedly incorporated allocations for almost all of the promises made by KCR during the election campaigning.
