Hyderabad | 26th May 2021
Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today decided to hold a cabinet meeting on May 30 (Sunday) at 2 pm.
In the meeting, the cabinet will discuss agriculture - crops in the state, the ongoing paddy procurement process, availability of seeds and fertilizers, curbing the supply of spurious seeds - the coronavirus spread, the lockdown and other subjects.
The cabinet meeting has assumed importance in the wake of reports that the present lockdown will be extended till June 7.
The lockdown was extended previously till the 30th of this month.
Though the CM was originally against the High Court suggestions for even a weekend lockdown, rising Covid-19 cases in the state led him to declare a full lockdown.
KCR is also expected to instruct the officials concerned to procure all the paddy yield, give an MSP to the farmers after procuring the paddy, and ready for the coming season.
