Telangana BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar today said that the party leaders would hold indefinite sit-in programs in front of all the electricity department offices of the state on Monday.
He said that only the leaders would take part in the protest programs, and urged the party workers to not participate in them.
He said that the protest programs would be held in a peaceful manner and complying with the guidelines of social distancing.
Kumar said that he would participate in the dharna program to be held at Vidyut Soudha in Hyderabad along with core committee members of the party.
He said that the district presidents of the party and the core committee members of the districts would take part in the dharnas to be held in the respective district headquarters.
He said that it was brutal on the part of the state government to burden the people of the state with high electricity charges. He demanded the government waive off the additional electricity charges, and warned it that the BJP would hold the dharnas indefinitely until the additional charges were waived off.
