Condemning the attack on the Telangana BJP office on Thursday night, Greater Hyderabad BJP president and MLC N Ramchander Rao today demanded that the State government order an inquiry into the incident.
Speaking to mediapersons, Rao said that a group of unidentified persons suspected to be MIM activists had come to the state BJP office and tried to attack it after gatecrashing into it, and that that the police, who had reached the spot upon being informed, had taken some persons into custody.
The police should inquire into the incident thoroughly as an attack on a political office was highly objectionable and undemocratic, he said.
He also alleged that the Owaisi brothers - MP Asaduddin Owaisi and MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi - were trying to vitiate the atmosphere in the country in the name of the CAA, the NRC and the NPR for their political gains.
Alleging that the duo were provoking and intimidating people, Rao said that Asaduddin Owaisi had even tried to give a communal tinge to the famous sweet halwa by saying that it was an Arabic word.
Indians always respected all the languages and did not differentiate between religions, the BJP leader said.
