T-BJP Demands Early Assessment Of Crop Damages
The state government should constitute an expert committee to assess the damage and fix the compensation to be paid to the farmers who suffered losses, the party said.
Telangana BJP president G Kishan Reddy on Thursday urged the state government to hasten the preparation of the report on the damages caused due to the unseasonal rains in the last few days across Telangana.
Speaking to media persons, Reddy said that the state government should constitute an expert committee to assess the damage and fix the compensation to be paid to the farmers who suffered losses.
He said that a report on the damages should also be sent to the central government at the earliest.
He claimed that the BJP government at the Centre was ready to help the Telangana government, and the union ministers who visited the affected areas on Wednesday would coordinate with the Centre for the same.
Commenting on the Mission Kakatiya project, Kishan Reddy alleged that the scheme was being misused to benefit the TRS workers.
He said that the state government was implementing such a huge project without taking any advice from experts. Instead, he alleged, contractors were involved in the project, and they had been flouting norms to benefit the TRS party workers. (INN)
