T-Congress Demands Immediate Relief For Farmers
The party said the government should not delay the assessment of losses, and a report must be sent immediately to the central government seeking assistance.
Deputy CLP leader in the Telangana Assembly T Jeevan Reddy on Saturday demanded that the state government extend immediate assistance to the farmers who had lost their crops due to the recent unseasonal rains across Telangana State.
Speaking to media persons in the Assembly premises, Reddy said that the government should not delay the assessment of losses, and a report must be sent immediately to the central government seeking its assistance.
He accused Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao of neglecting the welfare of the farmers while focusing his attention on issues like the shifting of the Secretariat and the construction of skyways.
Reddy also announced that the Congress would approach the court against the Water Grid Land Acquisition Bill. (INN)
