Crops over 20,000 hectares were lost due to the unseasonal rains during the last three days across Telangana.
According to preliminary estimates of the state government, the maximum damage has been reported from the Karimnagar district, where crops spread across 15,000 hectares have been damaged.
While crops over 7,000 hectares have been lost in Nizamabad, about those over 6,500 hectares have been lost in the Nalgonda district.
About 19,000 hectares of horticulture crops have also been lost, and Medak is on top there with losses of 5,467 hectares of crops, followed by Karimnagar (4,370 hectares) and Warangal (2,600 hectares). (INN)
