YSR Congress Party president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, on Tuesday, condemned the
passing of the Telangana Bill in the Lok Sabha.
"Today is a "Black Day" in the history of this country. Today, we have personally witnessed how democracy can be killed in broad day-light," Jagan said.
"The Parliament's doors were closed. The telecast of the event had been stopped. Seemandhra MPs had been suspended and the bill was introduced with no one to say "yes" or "no" to its passing. Therefore, the bill was passed un-democratically," he said.
Jagan called for a whole-of-Andhra-Pradesh bandh on Wednesday in protest against the passing of the bill in the Lok Sabha. (INN)
