Bandi Sanjay Joins Etala's Padayatra

Telangana BJP head Bandi Sanjay Kumar today took part in party colleague and former minister Etala Rajender's ongoing Praja Deevena Padayatra in Rajanna Sircilla district's Ellantakunta mandal and extended his support to the latter.

Kumar also addressed a public meeting on the occasion. In his address, he said that the BJP would surely win the upcoming by-election in Huzurabad, noting that surveys, including one conducted by the state's intelligence department, had indicated that the party's candiate for the seat Etala Rajender would win the election.

The leader claimed that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was clueless about the outcome of the upcoming election as the intelligence department survey had revealed that Rajender would get 71% of the total votes of the constituency. He also alleged that the CM had devised "a new drama" in the name of the implementation of the Dalit Bandhu scheme in Huzurabad and that this was just another instance of the CM lying to the people of the state.

Further, the BJP chief stated that he would wait to see if the government gave the promised aid of Rs 10 lakh to Dalit families after the by-election, and warned that he would file a case against the Dalit Bandhu scheme in the Telangana High Court if the aid was not distributed. He added that although this would give the CM the chance to blame the BJP and Rajender for getting the program suspended, the party would fight to ensure that aid was extended to every SC, ST and BC family in Telangana.

Referring to last year's GHMC elections, Kumar claimed that though KCR had promised to give Rs 10,000 to each of the flood-affected families in Hyderabad, he had not implemented the scheme, and accused the latter of cheating the public. He also stated that the BJP would order an enquiry into the "irregularities" committed by the CM after coming into power, and would ensure that he went to jail for the same.

Heaping praises on Rajender, the BJP bigwig said that the leader was "working very hard in the constituency" to ensure the victory of the saffron party in the upcoming election, and that he was carrying out his march without fearing the threats allegedly made by the state government.
