BJP Will Get KCR Jailed: Bandi Sanjay

While Telangana's ruling party, the TRS, and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao were seen celebrating the seventh formation day of the state today, BJP state chief Bandi Sanjay Kumar made some explosive comments about the future of the party.

After conveying his wishes to the people of the state on the occasion, Kumar vowed that the pink party would be "wiped out" from Telangana by 2023.

He said that the BJP was currently "gathering information" about the criminal cases filed against the CM, and claimed that the latter would "go to jail at any time now".

The BJP chief then claimed that the "irregularities" committed by KCR had been unearthed by the BJP.

During an informal chat with the media, he said that his party had devised a strategy to ensure the CM's arrest, and that it would not rest till the CM was "ousted" from his post. He added,, "Apart from the CM, we have also been examining the Cabinet ministers and the ruling party's MLAs and have so far gathered detailed information about 18 MLAs and ministers through RTIs. We will hold agitation programs against the corrupt activities of the corrupt leaders of the TRS. We will take into consideration the criticisms other parties of the Opposition have voiced against the KCR government as well. However, our agitation will not be affiliated to any other party's."

The firebrand leader also said that a dissenting leader from the pink party would join the BJP.

"Former minister and TRS MLA Etala Rajender will join the BJP in a week's time. He will resign from his post as MLA to join. We have considered this switch and have even sought legal advice on the issue. Discussions regarding the specifics of the resignation will be held once the MLA returns to Hyderabad from Delhi. Etala Rajender has chosen to join our party as he was attracted by our ideals and the rule of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Our party is a good platform for activists of the Telangana agitation who have not gotten justice even after seven years of the formation of the state," he claimed.
