Telangana BJP head Bandi Sanjay today claimed that CM K Chandrashekar Rao was left feeling anxious after former minister Etala Rajender joined the BJP.
Telangana BJP head Bandi Sanjay Kumar, known for making various stunning statements, today claimed that fear had started to engulf Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao after an erstwhile close aide of his, former Health Minister Etala Rajender, recently joined the saffron fold.
Speaking to a gathering of BJP workers at Huzurabad, Kumar added that the CM was "looking out of his farmhouse anxiously" after Rajender's departure from his party.
Referring to a much-publicised recent interaction of KCR and a village sarpanch, he claimed that Rajender was responsible for the sudden change in the CM's behaviour. To make his point, he said that Rajender had visited the government hospitals of the state when neither the CM nor any of his other Cabinet ministers had cared to do so.
"KCR is ruling a state that was created by the blood and sacrifice of Telangana martyrs. However, his government does not seem to care for the efforts made by the Telangana agitation activists. It seems to target them instead f working for their welfare. Our party, the BJP, will always welcome such activists. It is a potent platform for them. We are the only outfit that can take on the TRS," the leader said.
Alleging that the TRS high command was "dictatorial", he added, "I had earlier urged Etala to leave from under the feudal rule of the CM. Nobody is happy in the pink party. As I said, we will always welcome dedicated leaders wanting to work for the people. We will also always continue to stand by the people. The Centre too has been supporting rural development in the state."
