Telangana Assembly Winter Session From December 29
A preparatory meeting was held in the committee hall of the Legislative Assembly building today in connection with the winter session.

The Telangana State Legislature is gearing up for an intense political confrontation, with the winter session scheduled to begin at 10:30 am on Monday.
The first day will feature commemorations for former legislators who have passed away since the previous session. Following Question Hour, the election of the Deputy Speaker of the Assembly is expected.
The Business Advisory Committee (BAC) is likely to convene in the afternoon to finalise the schedule for the remainder of the session. However, sources indicated that the House will not meet for three days, from December 30 to January 1, and will reconvene on January 2. Discussions on the waters of the Krishna and Godavari rivers are expected after that during the session.
Meanwhile, a preparatory meeting was held in the committee hall of the Legislative Assembly building today in connection with the winter session. Legislative Council Chairman Gutha Sukender Reddy, Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar, Deputy Chairman Banda Prakash Mudiraj, Legislative Council Chief Whip Patnam Mahender Reddy, Legislative Council Secretary V Narasimha Charyulu, Legislative Assembly Secretary R Tirupati, and senior officials from various departments, including Director General of Police Shivdhar Reddy, Additional Director General of Police Vijayakumar (Hyderabad), Police Commissioners V C Sajjanar, Avinash Mohanty and Sudheer Babu, Intelligence IG Karthikeya, and Assembly Chief Marshal Karnakar, attended the meeting. As Chief Secretary Ramakrishna Rao was on a visit to Delhi, Principal Secretary of the Finance Department Sandeep Sultania attended the meeting in his stead.
Speaking on the occasion, Speaker Prasad Kumar said that the police department should take necessary steps to ensure that the Legislative Assembly and Council sessions proceeded smoothly without any difficulties. He added that information on any planned protests or demonstrations should be gathered in advance to ensure the smooth conduct of the sessions.
Chairman Sukender Reddy said that all departmental officials should work collectively to ensure the successful conduct of the sessions, and added, "The necessary nodal officers and liaison officers should be appointed, and answers to pending questions should be submitted immediately."
