A Business Advisory Committee (BAC) meeting was chaired by Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy on the conducting of the Assembly monsoon sessions today.
Many issues in addition to the conducting of the Assembly session were discussed on the occasion.
Ministers T Harish Rao and Prashanth Reddy on behalf of the government, CLP leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka from the Congress and Akbaruddin Owaisi on behalf of the AIMIM participated in the meeting.
The BAC meeting decided to conduct the Assembly sessions for three days. Bhatti Vikramarka demanded that the meetings be held for 20 days, but Harish Rao said that the parties should look at the working hours and not the number of days.
It was also decided to discuss the recent heavy rains and floods, and the government measures, in the sessions. The government will take up a discussion on the floods on Friday, and various other bills will be tabled in the House on Saturday.
The government is likely to introduce about ten bills in the ongoing sessions.
