ACB Conducts Raids On RTA Check Posts
This is the second time in recent months that the ACB has conducted simultaneous raids on transport department check posts.

Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau officials launched simultaneous raids on RTA check posts across the State on Saturday.
The searches began at midnight, with officials conducting checks at the Salabatpur RTA checkpoint in Madnur mandal of Kamareddy district. They found that private individuals were illegally collecting money from vehicles and seized Rs 36,000 in cash.
In Khammam district, ACB teams, led by DSP Y Ramesh, conducted raids on transport department check posts in Bhadradri Kothagudem, Ashwaraopet, Palvancha and Muthagudem. Cash was seized during the operation. Officials expressed displeasure that the check posts continued to function despite government orders lifting them.
In Narayanpet district, ACB officials carried out extensive searches at the Krishna RTA check post on the Karnataka-Telangana border from midnight. A ten-member team led by Mahbubnagar ACB DSP conducted the operation between 12:30 am and 6 am, and seized Rs 30,450 in illegal cash.
In Komuram Bheem Asifabad district, ACB officials raided the Wankidi State Border Transport Department check post late at night following allegations that private personnel were collecting money from vehicles. The officials seized unaccounted cash during the operation.
In Sangareddy district, an ACB team raided the Madi interstate RTA check post in Mogudampalli mandal of Zaheerabad constituency, seizing Rs 43,300 in cash. Thousands of vehicles ply daily on the Mumbai-Hyderabad National Highway 65 through this check post.
In Adilabad district, ACB officials conducted raids on RTA check posts from midnight till morning, seizing Rs 1.26 lakh in cash during the operation.
