ACB Seeks Govt Nod To Prosecute KTR In Formula E

Hyderabad | 9th September 2025
In a major twist in the Formula E-Car Race case, the Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has sought the State government's approval to prosecute former minister K T Rama Rao, senior IAS officer Arvind Kumar, officials B L N Reddy and Kishan Rao, and the FEO.

The ACB has already submitted its report to Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Verma, who has reportedly cleared the way for the registering of a case against the accused. However, the final decision now rests with the Congress government headed by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.

Sources said that the ACB was prepared to file a charge sheet once the government granted permission.

Investigators have already questioned KTR four times and Arvind Kumar five times. The inquiry report concludes that there was "massive corruption" in the conduct of the race, with clear evidence of "quid pro quo" arrangements.
