Exhorting the youth of Telangana to join the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) to build a corruption-free State, the AAP Telangana wing stated that the Party was organizing a youth conference on October 4 at Basheerbagh to drive membership. The conference will be inaugurated by balladeer Gadar.
AAP Telangana State spokesperson P L Vishweshwar Rao made an official press announcement about this today.
Expressing concern about the continuing suicides by farmers in Telangana, he also demanded that the State government give a specific date for and assurance on the clearance of the crop loan waiver.
He also sought that the State government declare all Telangana districts as drought-affected, and forward a report to the Centre immediately seeking assistance.
Rao further demanded that the KCR government fix Minimum Support Prices (MSP) for all farm products, and provide high quality fertilizers and pesticides to the farmers.
He also asked the government to impose a three-year moratorium on private money lenders asking farmers for repayment of loans taken, and order re-investigation into all cases of farmers' suicides. (NSS)
