The party allotted Rs 53,196 crore for its six guarantees.
The Congress government on Saturday presented a vote-on-account budget for Telangana with a Rs 2,75,891 crore outlay for the financial year 2024-25.
Further, the revised budget estimates for 2023-24 were pegged at Rs 2,24,625 crore.
Tabling the budget in the Assembly, Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka proposed Rs 53,196 crore for the implementation of the party's six guarantees.
"Provision of additional funds will be made as required, once a complete assessment is made about the schemes," Vikramarka said.
The Deputy CM reiterated that his government would fulfill all the promises made by the Congress during the election campaign, including in the Warangal declaration for farmers, the youth declaration in Hyderabad, the SC-ST declaration in Chevella, and the BC and minority declarations in Kamareddy would be implemented.
According to the revised estimates for 2023-24, the estimated total expenditure is Rs 2,24,625 crore, of which the revenue expenditure is Rs 1,69,141 crore and capital expenditure is Rs 24,178 crore. There was a revenue surplus of Rs 9,031 crore, and a fiscal deficit of Rs 33,786 crore.
As per the estimates for 2024-25, the revenue surplus is Rs 5,944 crore and fiscal deficit is Rs 32,557 crore.
