Telangana TDLP leaders said that all the people who sympathized with the farmers should come forward to participate in the bandh.
Hyderabad | 9th October 2015
Urging the people to make the October 10 bandh a big success, Telangana TDLP leader Errabelli Dayakar Rao said that all the people who sympathized with the farmers should come forward to participate in the bandh.
Speaking to the media on Friday, Rao asked the government whether it was unable to see the continuous suicides by the farmers.
The government had suspended the Opposition Parties' members from the Assembly when they had cornered it on the farmers' suicides. Stating that the bandh was now the only a way to bring the problems of the farmers to the notice of the government, Rao demanded that the government waive off the pending crop loans that it had promised to waive off, in one go, and provide a minimum support price to the crops of the farmers.
Telangana TDP President L Ramana alleged that the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was thinking only of how to benefit politically in the coming by-elections in the State.
Ramana too asked whether the Chief Minister was not able to see the farmers' suicides.
He also said that it was atrocious on the part of the government to arrest the Asha workers who were agitating for their demands, and urged the people to make the October 10 bandh a big success.
