Leaders from the Telugu Desam Party and the Left have decided to intensify their protest against the "anti-farmer" government in the state.
This was decided at the all-party meeting convened at NTR Trust Bhavan on Friday, where the attendees took a decision to intensify the agitation until the government comes out with a "suitable" relief package for farmers, who lost their crops in the recent rains.
Another decision taken at the meeting was to organize a massive farmers' rally "Rythu Garjana" in the capital on Sunday.
The attendees also took a note of the health of Telugu Desam party president N Chandrababu Naidu, who broke his fast only on the 8th day, despite being forcefully given intravenous fluids.
They condemned the police and the doctors at NIMS for "attempting" to foil Naidu's fast.
"How long will this government run by using police force?" asked senior TDP leader N Janardhan Reddy.
The leaders called upon party workers to make the "Rythu Garjana" a grand success.
