Telugu Desam Party senior leader Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy, on Saturday, said that it was a shame for state ministers to attend the launch of Rajya Sabha member KVP Ramchandra Rao's book on "YSR's Padayatra" in New Delhi.
Talking to media persons at the NTR Trust Bhavan, Chandramohan Reddy alleged that Y S Rajasekhara Reddy's corruption had sent several senior officials to jail, and that he had doled out over one lakh acres of mining land to his son-in-law in Khammam district.
He quipped that the Congress leaders and ministers have not been made "scapegoats" in the corruption scam, but that they had become "holy goats" after "digesting the huge amount of black money".
The TDP leader alleged that KVP was fully aware of the bribery transactions that took place between YSR and union ministers Ghulam Nabi Azad, Veerappa Moily and Vayalar Ravi.
Contending that the merger of the YSRCP and the Congress in the near future was a certainty, he questioned as to why Y S Vijayalakshmi had remained silent now on the suspicions over YSR's death, after making it an issue in the recent by-elections. (INN)
