Congress & TDP Slandering YSR: Jagan

YSR Congress Party President, Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, on Monday alleged that both the Congress Party and the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) have hatched a conspiracy against the late Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, and were intentionally resorting to mudslinging on the former Chief Minister.

Talking to mediapersons after launching the latest phase of the Odarpu Yatra at Sringavarapu Kota in Vizianagaram district, the former MP expressed disappointment at the slandering of the late leader by the cited parties. This is simply not the practice in India, he said.

Recalling his father's words "how long you live is not important, but living in the hearts of people, even after your death, is important," Jaganmohan Reddy unveiled the former Chief Minister's statue in Sringavarapu Kota.

The yatra will cover 30 mandals, and the former MP will console 17 families who lost a member in the aftermath of YSR's sudden death.

Jaganmohan Reddy's close aide and former TTD Chairman, Bhuma Nagi Reddy, has been busy supervising the Odarpu Yatra arrangements in the district. This is the former MP's first official political program after the launch of the YSR Congress Party.

MP Sabbam Hari and former Minister P Sambhasiva Raju were also present at the Odarpu Yatra's launch.
