TDP Deputy Floor Leader in the state Assembly Gali Muddukrishnama Naidu on Thursday said that former AP Government Advisor K V P Ramachandra Rao, former Telecom Minister A Raja, and Pune-based stud-farm owner Hasan Ali were involved in massive corruption, and called for polygraph tests (lie-detection tests) on them.
Talking to media persons at Telugu Desam Legislature Party Office, Naidu then went a step further and said that the tests should be aired live on television channels, so that people can see the truth for themselves.
Demanding a thorough probe into the accused people's activities, he urged the government to publish a comprehensive report on their alleged tax evasions.
He described former Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy and Congress President Sonia Gandhi as "partners-in-crime", and further alleged that they had shared the proceeds of their corrupt activities.
Alleging that Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy's government has failed in providing 9 hours of power supply to farmers, Naidu stated that the Congress leaders lacked commitment.
"The government has failed to implement the 9-hour power supply promise made by former Chief Minister YSR," the TDP leader stated.
He further said that YSR Congress Party President Y S Jaganmohan Reddy would bite the dust in the by-elections, and that the TDP candidates would win with a thumping majority.
"Even if the Congress deputes Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) President K Chiranjeevi to campaign for the by-elections, chances of the party winning the elections are bleak," Naidu predicted, and reasoned that no crowds had paid heed to Chiranjeevi when he had campaigned in the recent Tamil Nadu elections.
Lauding TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu for keeping the TDP flock together, Muddukrishnama Naidu expressed confidence that the party would trounce both the Congress and YSR Congress Party in the by-elections. (INN)
