T-TDP Seeks Governor's Help For Assembly Session
The Party feels the TRS government was not planning to convene a session till December, and was even contemplating passing the budget through an ordinance.
A delegation of Telangana TDP MLAs called on Governor E S L Narasimhan at Raj Bhavan on Thursday seeking his intervention to have an Assembly session convened.
Speaking to media persons after submitting the memorandum to the Governor, Telangana TDP President L Ramana said that the State government was not planning to convene the Assembly session till December, and was even contemplating passing the annual budget through an ordinance.
He said that the conditions in the State had turned worse due to erratic governance and the inept administration of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.
Ramana said that the Governor was requested to exercise his executive powers to convene an Assembly session at the earliest to discuss issues like deteriorating law and order, farmers' suicides, fee reimbursement, controversy over the Hyderabad Metro and allotment of lands to My Home Constructions owned by Rameshwar Rao.
He said that the government was afraid of convening the Assembly session fearing that all its failures would be exposed.
The Chief Minister had confined himself to mere announcements, and no practical steps were being taken for the development of Telangana although the State had a surplus budget.
TDP floor leader in the Telangana Assembly Errabelli Dayakar Rao; MLAs including Revanth Reddy, Teegala Krishna Reddy and Prakash Goud; and others were part of the delegation. (INN)
