Telangana TDP Working President A Revanth Reddy today demanded that the State government extend the upcoming Winter Session of Assembly, beginning from December 16, to at least 20 days.
Speaking to the media after the TDP Legislative Party meeting at NTR Trust Bhavan, the TDP Working President said that the Party discussed on the strategy to be adopted during the Winter Session, which would need at least 20 days to play out.
Reddy said that a team from from his Party would meet the Union Agriculture Minister on December 14 and 15, to apprise him of the agrarian problems in the State. The Union minister would also be informed about the diversion of Central funds meant for agriculture sector to other projects.
The Party would also urge the Centre to accord National Status to the Pranahita-Chevella project.
In the Assembly, the TDP would raise issues ranging from students' fee-reimbursement to farmers' problems.
