Telugu Desam Telangana Forum convenor Errabelli Dayakar Rao, on Monday, said that the party would move a resolution on the formation of a Telangana state, in the state Legislative Assembly, if it comes to power in the 2014 elections.
Talking to media persons at NTR Trust Bhavan, Errabelli said that party president N Chandrababu Naidu would stand by his resolution made in the party manifesto, and would honour it if the TDP comes to power in the 2014 elections.
He said that the party chief would write another letter to the Centre after the by-elections, stating that his party was never opposed to a Telangana state.
Errabelli Dayakar Rao claimed that Naidu had already written to the Centre stating that his party has no objection to a Telangana state.
He appealed to Telangana Political Joint Action Committee Chairman M Kodandaram to take a unanimous decision on fielding a common candidate for the by-elections from Parkal Assembly constituency. He said that the TDP was ready to cooperate with the TP-JAC if it prevents the TRS from fielding its candidate from the seat. (INN)
