TDP Poll Promises Still A Mirage: YSR Congress
AP CM Chandrababu Naidu's ambiguous statements on the capital were benefiting his coterie, while his poll promises remained unfulfilled, the YSRCP said.

The TDP government had failed to come to terms with reality in its 2-month-long governance, and the Chief Minister was quite ambiguous in his statements, which have been benefiting his coterie, while his core poll promises still remained a mirage, the YSR Congress Party said today.
"The Chief Minister stating that he has surpassed the expectations of the public after he took over the reins of the State, is only to deceive the people, and his frequent hints about the capital city is only to create a boom in a particular region to benefit his coterie," party spokesperson Ambati Rambabu told reporters here on Saturday.
"He has signed five files starting with the one waiving off the loans of farmers and DWACRA women groups, but not a single scheme has been implemented. What he has done during his 2-month term is drop strong hints that the capital would likely be in the Vijayawada-Guntur stretch, even as the Central Committee was yet to give its opinion on the capital's location.
"This was done only to benefit his close corporate circles that have purchased lands and created a boom. He needs to explain to the people why he dropped such hints even before the Central Committee began the capital search exercise.
"Also, he has been demanding Rs 5 lakh crores for building a new capital, so why he is silent and not mounting pressure on the Centre to release the amount?" Rambabu demanded.
Chandrababu Naidu had been very incoherent when he said that the government offices would function from Vijayawada while simultaneously also announcing that he would stay put in Hyderabad for ten years, Rambabu dissed.
Naidu's statements on the loan waiver were also very confusing, and not a single farmer had benefited, Rambabu alleged.
The Chief Minister had misused the official machinery to settle political scores on one hand and help his close associates on the other in the past two months, but he had never taken steps to fulfill his poll promisess, the YSR Congress spokesperson claimed.
With drought staring at the State, Naidu needed to come to terms with reality and fulfill his poll promises, Rambabu counselled. (INN)
