TDP Demands White Paper On Double Bedroom Houses
If the KCR government constructed only 60,000 houses, then what about the houses for remaining 21 lakh homeless families, the Party asked.

Alleging a negligent attitude by the TRS government towards building houses for the poor as committed in its election manifesto, TDP senior leader Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy today demanded that the TRS government release a white paper on the construction of the promised double-bedroom houses in Telangana.
Speaking to the media at NTR Bhavan on Sunday, Ravula said that as per the survey conducted by the Congress, there were 22 lakh homeless families in the State. If the KCR government constructed only 60,000 houses, then what about the houses for remaining families, he asked. And if only 60,000 houses were to be constructed now, then how many years would it take to construct 21,40,000 houses, he wondered.
And where was the budget support for 60,000 double bedroom houses, he asked. While Rs 3,000 crores would be needed for the construction of 60,000 houses, the government had earmarked Rs 1,000 crores in the Budget, he pointed out.
For those who came in late, the TRS government has decided to construct 60,000 double-bedroom houses, for which the foundation-laying ceremony will be performed on Vijayadasami. 400 houses will be constructed in each constituency, and the allotment authority will be given to district in-charge minister and MLA, empowering them to allot 200 houses each.
