TDP Decides Not To Respond To Letter On GoM
Telugu Desam Party has decided not to respond to the letter sent by the Ministry of Home Affairs seeking suggestions of political parties on bifurcation.
The Telugu Desam Party has decided not to respond to the letter sent by the Ministry of Home Affairs seeking suggestions of political parties on the Terms of Reference of Group of Ministers (GoM) on Telangana.
The decision was taken by TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu after convening a meeting with his party colleagues from the Seemandhra region, at his residence in Jubilee Hills, here on Monday.
The TDP leaders seemed to be of the view that it is inappropriate for the Centre to seek views of political parties, after a unilateral decision of dividing the state has been taken, and process of division has begun by forming the Group of Minister (GoM) on Telangana.
Therefore, the TDP has decided no to respond to the MHA's letter.
However, the decision on whether to attend the all-party meeting, convened by the Centre, on November 12th and 13th, or not, will be taken later. (INN)
