Telugu Desam Party polit-bureau member Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, on Wednesday, said that party president N Chandrababu Naidu would visit New Delhi in August to get the support of like-minded parties for the Backward Classes declaration made by the party recently.
Talking to media persons, Ramakrishnudu said that the TDP would stand by its promise made of giving 100 Assembly seats to the BC community in the ensuing 2014 general elections.
He dismissed the criticism of other parties against the TDP, over the move of reserving 100 seats for BCs, and said that the party would honour its commitment.
The TDP leader said that the party would introduce a special budget for BCs if it is voted to power in the next general elections.
He said that BCs in the state would believe the TDP and not the Congress, since the latter has neglected their welfare and spent little for their upliftment. (INN)
