Revanth Reddy Opposes Trifurcation Of Mahabubnagar
The Kodangal MLA and TDP leader said that creation of 17 districts based on the 17 Lok Sabha constituencies would be more practical, than 23 districts.
Kodangal MLA and TDP senior leader Revanth Reddy, on Thursday, strongly opposed the proposed trifurcation of the Mahabubnagar district.
Speaking to media persons after making a representation to the Telangana Chief Secretary Dr Rajiv Sharma in Hyderabad, Revanth Reddy said that the TRS government was planning to divide Mahabubnagar into 3 parts to create more districts.
He said that it proposed creating the Wanaparthy, Nagarkurnool and Mahabubnagar districts from the current Mahabubnagar district.
The present Mahabubnagar district has 14 Assembly and 2 Lok Sabha segments. In case the trifurcation took place, the Mahabubnagar MP would have to deal with 3 SPs and 3 Collectors to resolve the issues pertaining to his constituency, he said.
Reddy said that the creation of new districts needed to be practical. He said that instead of the proposed 23 districts, the government could create 17 districts based on the boundaries of the 17 Lok Sabha constituencies in the region.
The TDP leader also demanded that the TRS government restrain from adding riders to the crop loan waiver scheme. He said that it was unfair on the part of the government to say that loans taken only during 2013-14 would be waived off.
As promised, the TRS Government should waive off farm loans of up to Rs 1 lakh for all the farmers in Telangana, he said. (INN)
The concept of 17 districts is gud.But da loan waiver decision by K C R was apt,its all public money only but better allocate the same for c'mon benefits of all da people.
