Telangana Animal Husbandry Minister T Srinivas Yadav today praised Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jaganmohan Reddy's decision of introducing a three-capital system for Andhra Pradesh.
In 2019, the CM had rolled out his plans for a tri-capital system for the state where Amaravathi would serve as the legislative capital, Visakhapatnam would serve as the executive capital, and Kurnool would serve as the judicial capital.
Speaking to the media after offering prayers at Vijayawada's Kanaka Durga temple, Yadav lauded the decision as sound, and said that it was one that the CM would have taken after much deliberation and thought.
He then lashed out at the previous TDP regime for failing to develop Amaravathi as a capital, and claimed that the people of the state knew that it had only wasted time and funds pretending to develop the region.
The minister also praised Reddy for supporting the development of the temples in the state.
"The Andhra Pradesh government's commitment to developing the temples in the state is admirable. It is also praiseworthy that the CM has sanctioned Rs 70 crore to the Kanaka Durga temple's restoration and improvement. I am happy to note that the temples in both the Telugu-speaking states are witnessing rapid development and restoration," he said.
When asked about the farmers' agitation in Amaravathi, Yadav refused to comment on the matter saying that the issue was internal to the state.
