Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy today attended the anniversary celebrations of the Sri Sharada Peetham in Visakhapatnam.
He participated in the Purnahuti ceremony organized as part of the Rajashyamala Yagam.
Special pujas were performed to the deities in the peetham by Swaroopanandendra Saraswati Swamy, the head of the Peetham, and Swaatmanandendra Saraswati Swamy, the uttaradhikari. They performed the pujas with Jagan.
The CM also participated in several spiritual programs organized as part of the anniversary celebrations.
Jagan arrived in Visakhapatnam for the event from Gannavaram in a special flight, and was received by Minister Botsa Satyanarayana, former minister Dharmana Krishnadas, MP Y V Subba Reddy and Visakhapatnam West in-charge Adari Anandakumar. This is the fourth time that Jagan came to the peetham in his capacity as CM, and was warmly welcomed by the seers.
Police officials made elaborate security arrangements in Visakhapatnam ahead of Jagan's visit. A special railing was also laid from Chinnamusiriwada to the Sri Sharada Peetham.
