Sangareddy MLA T Jayaprakash Reddy alias Jagga Reddy on Friday announced that he would take out a "Sonia Gandhi Abhinandana Rally" from Sangareddy to Hyderabad with 25,000 bikes and 50,000 people.
Addressing a press conference at Congress Legislature Party Office here, Jagga Reddy said that the massive bike rally would be taken out on March 10 in honour of AICC president Sonia Gandhi.
Reiterating that he is still in favour of united Andhra Pradesh, Jagga Reddy said that he was accepting Telangana to abide by the decision taken by the Congress High Command. He claimed that the development of all regions is possible only through a united state. He also accused TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao of going back on his promise of merging his party with the Congress after the passing of the Telangana Bill.
He alleged that KCR had blackmailed the Congress through the Telangana agitation, and that now, after the formation of the separate state, he is changing colours.
Jagga Reddy said that several groups were planning to defeat him in the next elections. However, he claimed that he would certainly retain his seat from Sangareddy, and that no other opponent had the "guts" to defeat him. (INN)
