KTR Releases Rs 100 Crore For SC, ST Development

Telangana minister K T Rama Rao today distributed Rs 100 crore among about 2,000 beneficiaries of the two communities to help them start business units.

Municipal administration and industries minister K T Rama Rao today said that the state government was committed to the development of the dalits and the tribals in Telangana.

Along with ministers K Eshwar and Satyavati Rathod, KTR launched a new office for the SC, ST Corporation, and a related website.

He also released Rs 100 crore in subsidies for promotion of industrial activity among these two communities.

The money was distributed among about 2,000 beneficiaries to help them start business units.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that under the T-Pride program, so far about 36,000 people of the communities had received help and were running their own industrial units.

He also said that various other programs were on for the development of the dalits and the tribals of the state.

"Our aim is to implement the 3E formula - Education, Entrepreneurship and Employment for dalits and tribals," he said.
