Contrary to the claims of state government, swine flu cases and deaths are on the rise across Telangana.
As on 5th February, 41 people have lost their lives to swine flu.
Of 89 samples tested on Thursday, 20 have been found positive. So far this year, 2,212 samples have been tested, and 738 were found positive.
"The number of positive cases reported in the last six days (up to 5th February) indicates a decrease in intensity. The figures are 45, 35, 39, 18, 32 and 20," claimed the swine flu bulletin issued on Friday.
The state government has advised citizens to take precautions such as reporting to a hospital upon the first symptoms of swine flu like high fever, sneezing cough and body pains.
Citizens have also been advised to avoid going to crowded places, clean their hands as frequently as possible, avoid hand-shakes, and cover their noses/mouths while sneezing and coughing. (INN)
