Strive To Win Panchayat Polls Too: KCR To Cadre

The TRS chief directed the party cadre to get ready for the Panchayat elections and Lok Sabha elections, to be held next year.
Hyderabad | 14th December 2018
TRS supremo and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, at the party state level executive committee meeting held today, directed the party cadre and leaders, including the new MLAs, to get ready for the Panchayat and the Lok Sabha elections to be held next year.

The meeting which saw the attendance of the TRS new working president K T Rama Rao, senior leaders, MPs, MLAs and others saw discussions on several important issues including the preparation and strategies for the upcoming Panchayat and Lok Sabha elections, and the TRS victory in the just-concluded Assembly elections.

Other issues that were reportedly discussed included the cabinet expansion, the approach of the party to resolve the various issues of the Telangana people, and the scheduling of the next Assembly session. However, the focus of the meeting was on strategies to ensure that the party cadre put in the required efforts to secure the victory of the local leaders in the Panchayat polls.

KCR asked the party leaders to work together at the field level and to take the party's schemes to the door-steps of the people, and to help the TRS repeat its feats in the Panchayat polls as well.

Speaking of the landslide victory of the TRS in the just-concluded Telangana Assembly elections, KCR extended thanks to the party leaders and cadre for striving hard to secure the win.

Offering respite to those defeated in the elections, KCR requested them not to panic, and said that priority would be given to them. He also said that their services would be used by the party, and that they would be given nominated posts.
