With just some days left before the April 30 elections, CM K Chandrashekar Rao today instructed the leaders of the TRS to amp up their campaign efforts.
TRS supremo and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today instructed the leaders of his party to devote themselves to winning the upcoming local body elections to be held in two corporations and five municipalities of the state.
Asking the leaders to address the locals' issues in the poll-bound regions, the CM directed them to ensure that the voters saw through the "falsehoods" being spread by the party's rivals. He also asked them to base the campaign for the April 30 elections on the TRS' commitment to bringing more development by empowering the state's ULBs.
He reportedly instructed all the ministers, and the party's MLAs and local leaders to woo the voters by promising to work towards development and by cornering the Opposition for "hindering" progress.
"Publicise all our existing welfare schemes among voters and take steps to complete all the pending developmental works at the earliest," KCR told his colleagues.
After the CM issued his instructions, ministers Errabelli Dayakar Rao, P Ajay Kumar and V Srinivas Goud, and several former MPs and MLAs of the pink party have amped up the campaign efforts and are currently conducting a house-to-house campaign.
With just one day left for campaigning, Finance Minister T Harish Rao has also been working to solicit support for the party in Siddipet while Power Minister G Jagadish Reddy is busy campaigning in Suryapet.
The party is keen to win the upcoming elections since the state is not likely to have any more elections till the Assembly elections in 2023. The fact that the TRS regime is currently fending off massive anti-incumbency rumours makes the party's victory even more critical.
