As many as 88.08% of the candidates who had appeared for the Secondary School Certificate exams, have cleared it, as can be seen from the results that were announced on Friday.
Releasing the results at the office Board of Secondary Education in Chapel Road, Secondary Education minister K Parthasarathy informed that girls have outnumbered boys in the pass percentage.
While 87.30% of boys cleared the exams, 88.90% of girls have passed the SSC.
The state percentage of passes secured by private candidates is 45.50.
The percentage of passes secured by boys is 42.47 whereas girls secured 51.92% of passes. The girls have secured 9.45 per cent higher than boys.
This year as many as 4,326 schools manage to secure a 100% pass-out. However, as many as 11 schools, including 6 private schools, have secured 0 pass-outs.
Chittoor district has secured highest pass percentage of 94.92 while Medak comes last with 67.96.
11,92,076 candidates had appeared for the SSC Public Examinations held in March this year as compared to 12,85,822 who had registered for the exams last year.
Of these candidates, as many as 99.17% appeared for the exams.
The Minister informed that the Advanced Supplementary Examinations for failed candidates would be held from June 15 to June 28.
The last date for the payment of the exam fee will be June 1. (INN)
