Chief Minister K Rosaiah, along with his wife Sivalakshmi, on Friday, visited Tirumala to seek the blessings of Lord Venkateswara on the occasion of the ongoing Srivari Brahmotsavam.
According to sources, the Chief Minister has reached Tirumala in a special flight at 11.30am. He was motored to the hill shrine, where he performed a special puja under the guidance of purohits and Vedic pundits.
The Chief Minister also offered a silk dress to Lord Venkateshwara at the behalf of State government.
Earlier, the TTD authorities gave a traditional welcome to Chief Minister K Rosaiah at the temple Mahadwaram.
The police had made elaborate security arrangements to mark the Chief Minister’s visit to hill shrine.
