Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy said that law and order would be given priority in the event of the contents of Srikrishna Committee Report being made public.
Seeking to allay any apprehension among the general public, Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy on Saturday said that the state government was keen on maintaining law and order firmly to ensure peace prevailed in the state.
Talking to media persons after conducting a surprise visit to Hayathnagar on Saturday, Kiran Kumar Reddy said that the state government would take steps to maintain peace in view of the Srikrishna Committee Report being disclosed to the public.
Stating that in 2011 there would be no drawback in upkeep of peace, the Chief Minister opined that the 100 day plan would facilitate the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) to shape the city with better infrastructure and amenities.
On Krishna Water Dispute Tribunal verdict, he said that the experts would examine every item carefully and critically, and then arrive at a conclusion. He was confident that steps would be taken to ensure that the state did not lose out by the verdict.
Any issue that was against the interests of the state would be reported to the Tribunal within the stipulated time, Kiran Kumar Reddy said.
The Chief Minister also informed that a team on SC categorisation as desired would be taken to New Delhi shortly.
