Hyderabad | 20th December 2013
Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh "immediately" responded to a memorandum submitted by the all-party delegation from Andhra Pradesh led by Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, and ordered for a detailed study on Andhra Pradesh's objections to the Brijesh Kumar Tribunal's decision.

The all-party delegation met the PM on Friday morning, and presented to him a memorandum requesting the Prime Minister to intervene to ensure due justice to Andhra Pradesh on the Brijish Kumar Tribunal verdict on the Krishna water Dispute.

The memorandum said, "...we the representatives of all political parties of Andhra Pradesh in one voice with a fortiori, request you sir to intervene and show a benign attitude in ensuing due justice to the state of Andhra Pradesh as the decision of Justice Brijesh Kumar Tribunal has the potential to inflict immense injury upon the state of Andhra Pradesh."

The CM also said that the delegation had requested the PM that the government of India implead in the Supreme Court in support of Andhra Pradesh. The delegation told the Prime Minister that the decision of the tribunal would have its effects all over the country. (INN)
