The members of the Sri Sathya Sai Baba Centrral Trust convened a meeting on Tuesday morning to address the issue of the Yajur Mandir (Sathya Sai's residence) at the Prashanti Nilayam, and regarding the declaration of Baba's assets.

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader Dadithota Nagireddy had demanded that the Yajur Mandir be opened in the presence of Baba's devotees and dignitaries. He also demanded that Baba's assers and properties be made public by June 16th.

Nagireddy warned that he would stage a dharna at the Prashanti Nilayam if his demands were not met, and Trust Secretary R Chakravarthi was quick to assure the TDP leader that his demands would be met.

Justice B N Bhagavathi and another member of the trust were absent at the meeting, as a result of which the other trustees gathered could not arrive at a concrete decision regarding the opening of the Yajur Mandir.

According to sources, Satyajit had held the keys to Baba's residence while the latter was undergoing treatment, and the keys are now in the possession of Chakravarthi.

The meeting held by the Trust had but one outcome - the trustees declared that the wages of those working with the Trust would be hiked by 30%.

The trustees informed the media that they would convene another meeting after 2 days, during which they would arrive at a decision over the issues mentioned above.
