The Telangana Legislative Assembly will convene a special session on December 30 to pay homage to former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, who passed away on Thursday at the age of 92.
The session is scheduled to begin at 10 am, and members will condole the death of the late leader.
Dr Singh, who served as India's Prime Minister for a decade, was widely recognised for his significant contributions to the country's economic and political landscape. Following his demise, tributes poured in from across the nation.
Prominent leaders, including President Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh expressed their condolences.
His funeral was conducted with State honours and Sikh traditions in the national capital.
Earlier this month, the Telangana Assembly held its regular winter session from December 9 to 21, and the session witnessed discussions on key issues and the passage of several important bills.
