Hyderabad | 8th August 2015
Alleging that the TRS government was causing troubles for the people with its "undemocratic and dictatorial rule" in Telangana, AICC chief Sonia Gandhi on Saturday called upon the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee to get ready to wage a democratic war against the TRS, which was blocking the realization of the aim of the Congress in carving out a separate Telangana state.

TPCC Chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy, TPCC Working President Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, MLA Sampath Kumar, Telangana Congress chief official spokesperson D Sravan Kumar and spokesperson Addanki Dayakar, DCC president Bikshamaiah Goud and Naini Rajender Reddy along with 50 Osmania University Students' JAC members met Sonia Gandhi at her residence in New Delhi.

Speaking on the occasion. Gandhi praised the Osmania University students for fightling for a separate Telangana state. She called upon the students to now take up another movement against the TRS government, which had sidetracked the work needed to develop Telangana.

She explained that her party would be in the front row to champion the welfare of the people of Telangana. She also assured the students that the Congress would extend support to their movements.

On the occasion, the OU students thanked Gandhi in the form of songs.
