Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee president Y S Sharmila today criticized CM Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy for failing to build the Polavaram project, and also accused him of breaking the YSR family.
Sharmila was addressing a meeting of Congress workers at Surya Kala Mandir in Kakinada.
Speaking on the occasion, she said that with reverse tendering, the construction of the project was getting delayed further.
She also blamed Jagan for the split in the YSR family. She claimed that she had worked selflessly for the victory of the YSRCP in the last elections. "Jagananna however changed after he became the Chief Minister. I have personally been treated unfairly. He also did not speak up for Special Category Status even once, and became close to the BJP. The BJP ignored the interests of the State, and TDP has sold out," she alleged.
She also said that the people were confused with the three capitals plan. She asked whether the original capital still existed or not.
Sharmila also said the CM was not speaking on the privatisation of the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, and also that agriculture had gone moribund under Jagan's government. "Are farmers being given at least crop insurance?" she asked.
She claimed that she had joined the Congress to fulfill Y S Rajasekhar Reddy's last wish to make Rahul Gandhi the Prime Minister.
